About this watch face
A true-black face tuned for the AMOLED panels on Venu and the newer Fenix models, where unlit pixels genuinely draw no power. Date, battery and steps sit low on the dial in a single dim row, leaving the upper half almost entirely unlit. On a memory-in-pixel Garmin this design still works, but the battery advantage is specific to the AMOLED models.
Design notes
- Upper half left intentionally empty, which is where the battery saving comes from.
- Green accent at low brightness so it does not bloom in the dark.
- Three readings maximum, all on one row, all dim.
