About this watch face
A single dot orbits the dial once a minute over true black, with the time set quietly in the middle. The motion is the whole design — it gives the face a pulse without animating the entire screen — and because everything but the orbit and the numerals is unlit, the cost of that movement stays modest. In always-on mode the orbit stops and only the time remains.
Design notes
- Only one element animates, rather than a moving background.
- True black everywhere else so the moving dot is the only lit region.
- Motion stops in always-on mode by design, not as a limitation.
